Well, Insulation Toledo is happy to announce that we’ve found a a new spray foam insulation that addresses many of the concerns expressed by people here in the Northwest Ohio and SE Michigan area.
If you’re looking for a spray foam insulation that can be used in more areas of your home, this might be a good fit. So, we’d like to tell you a little about this new spray foam because we think you’re going to love the advantages it has over other spray foams.
FROTH-PAKTM Ultra Premium Foam Insulation
This new foam insulation has many of the benefits of SPF (Spray polyurethane foam ) but without many of the problems often associated with SPF. According to the manufacturer, FROTH-PAKTM
Premium Foam is,
“the only low-pressure foam that can be left exposed up to 8-inch thick in rim joists and 10-inch thick in uninhabitable attics and ventilated crawl spaces.” (The Dow Chemical Company®)
While many spray foams are high-pressure foams, this is a low-pressure spray foam. That makes a big difference. It can be used in many applications that other spray foam can not be used such as in attics, wall cavities, rim joists, and even for cold floor applications. It seals out air and moisture with a seamless foam application (ie, a monolithic seal).
You may be wondering how well it insulates. Spray foam is know for having a high R value and this spray foam doesn’t disappoint – it has a R value of 6.4 per inch
(Tested at per inch, aged at 140 degrees for 90 days.)
